Why Join a Dive Club?
Most Important:
Meeting lekker people!
False Bay Underwater Club (FBUC) members are made up of divers with varied experience, ranging from newly qualified divers to instructors. Our emphasis is on friendship and enjoying great dives in good company. With this eclectic range of divers, our members are afforded the opportunity to learn and develop their diving skills.
Many of our members are avid photographers, and the club encourages all to participate in the regular photo competitions. Through years of experience, FBUC divers have vast knowledge about underwater species and excitedly share new finds and interesting photos or occurrences with members.
Safe diving is our number one priority.
Then:
- π Enjoy shore diving in Cape Town with great dive buddies
- π Frequent diving without excessive costs
- π Meet and get to know more of the Cape Town dive community
- π Find people who can help you troubleshoot equipment difficulties that you may be experiencing
- π Explore new dive sites
- π Learn better diving techniques
- π Learn about Cape Town animal species
And:
Comfort in having dive buddies around when you lose your keys in the water and have to go and look for them ;-)
