FBUC events
We have our annual Seafood Dinner and interclub potjie competition, interesting
talks once a month, weekends away to Tietiesbaai and other venues. We book for a
group of us to dive at the annual PE Dive Festival. At the end of the year we have
a Christmas party. Shore Clean Up. Wednesday evenings we get together to catch up
with one another and to chat about our last week’s dives. We encourage our divers
to do boat and shore dives. Some weekends we dive at Cape Point and have a braai
for divers and their families.
sunday club dives
We do club dives every Sunday morning, which are normally shore dives, normally
followed by a hearty breakfast. If you are new to our club dives we request that
you bring your logbook, c-card and last diving medical in order for the Dive Leader
to review. The benefits of diving with the club are regular dive buddies, meeting
new friends and sharing a good time by doing the sport we all love. An email notification
providing details of the venue, time, and location and contact details of the Dive
Leader is emailed out weekly.
what to expect
Come and join in the fun with new and experienced divers. We have lots of fun getting
to know each other under and out of the water. On Wednesday evenings we fill our
cylinders and catch up with friends, chat about our last dive or about our next
dive trip we have planned. Once a month we have interesting talks - our speakers
share their experiences and inform us about different dive locations around the
world. They also tell us about Sharks, free diving and many other interesting topics.
Each year we join together with 3 other underwater clubs and have a cook off to
see who has made the best Potjie pot. Our main event each year is our seafood dinner,
everyone is invited family and friends to come and join in an evening of fun and
enjoy seafood together. At our Christmas Party at the end of year each member brings
a gift for a child and the gifts are donated to a charity. Contact us to ensure
you don't miss out.
